The purpose of this blog post is to provide the guidance and the steps needed to add a VMware vSphere server to Veeam Backup and Replication. For the purpose of this demo, I am currently using v12 of Veeam Backup and Replication (VBR). Once VBR has been successfully launched, please select the Backup Infrastructure view and then select Add Server from the Inventory pane. At the Add Server window, please select the desired server type. In this case, we will select VMware vSphere followed by vSphere. Starting with the New VMware Server window, you will be prompted for a Name and Credentials. The Synology DS723+ package arrived in one box. The box was packaged and sealed properly without any damage to report. The DS723+ includes a power adapter, power card, two ethernet cables, a bag of screws, two keys (used to lock the drives in the respective bays), and a quick installation guide manual.
